Free Googlephones and service?

There has been alot of talk about the idea of Google (and some other companies) offering a mobile phone for free along with free service plans.  In return, users would be subject to receiving advertisements in many possible different forms.  Ads could be delivered via voicemail, video, webpage, email, text message, etc.

I think the main target market for this would be younger users with limited $$ available for paying monthly bills.  One reason why Boost Mobil and other pre-paid plans are so popular with younger set.  Younger crowd may be willing to put up with ads in return for the free service.  The question would be if older business type cell users would put up with ads? Probably not.

I would think best course of action would be to offer different tiered plan options.  Free phone & service for those who accept ads, and either a pre-paid or monthly service for those who don’t want the ads.

What do you think?  Would you put up with ads in exchange for free service?  PLEASE VOTE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THIS PAGE ->>>>>>
